Nana's Woolen Cottage Blog and Hook-in by Cheryl McKinzey
Welcome to my Blog, enjoy your stay! Please join me in my virtual Hook-In starting soon. Everyone is welcome as long as they have a new project to start and want the encouragement to complete it. The Hook-In will be here at my Blog. My chat room will be available 2 weeks before the start of the Hook-in if you need any help. The hook-in starts May 3 the first Saturday in May at 2:00 pm central time!
Hi Cheryl!
I have had a busy week and just realized that I didn't post a photo of what I had done on Old Glory this week. I didn't get a lot of hooking time, but I did get a lot of set up and planning done. I spent time going through my wools and choosing colors. The white was a challenge, because I wanted a light background, but the white of the flag has to show up. I dyed a beige that I think will work for the background. I am fussy about my reds, and you will see them next week hooked into the flag. The eagle will be assorted scrap wools from jackets and slacks in brown tweeds, with a white tail and head. I have a white angora scarf (yard sale!) that I will use for some texture. I'm sorry I missed your chat...I was at an Eagle Scout ceremony all afternoon.
